“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1The Bible opens not with chaos, but with intention. Before laws, before covenants, before commandments, God speaks—and what He speaks becomes reality. From the very first verse, we see a God who creates with purpose and keeps His word with power. Every promise that follows in Scripture is built on this foundation: God says it, and it stands.
As this year begins, we’re not starting from scratch—we’re standing on something solid. The same God who spoke light into darkness is still speaking life, hope, direction, and restoration today. This journey isn’t about chasing feelings or predictions; it’s about learning to stand where God has already proven Himself faithful.
“God does nothing but in answer to prayer, and everything He has promised He is faithful to perform.”
John WesleyIf God can begin everything by His word, He can handle whatever you’re facing today by that same word.
Lord, as this year begins, help me anchor my faith in You alone. Teach me to trust what You have spoken, even when I cannot yet see the outcome. I choose today to stand on Your promises, knowing You never fail.
Amen.
